In May, the company also released three exclusive digital Luminor models. The Luna Rossa model, named in honor of the team sponsored by Panerai that will compete in one of the world’s most thrilling yacht races, will be available early next year to coincide with the major event.

The Luminor Luna Rossa GMT is the latest collaboration between Panerai and the Luna Rossa sailing team. Thus, the Luminor will coincide with next year’s America’s Cup race, adding some red details. Its matte 42mm case is coated with Carbotech and houses a Scafotech dial – an innovative and sustainable compound made from carbon fiber residue collected from the hull and hydrofoils of the AC75 sailboat used by the Italian team. This material was recycled and molded into a high-tech polymer to be used as the watch dial.

Furthermore, it features Arabic numerals, Super-LumiNova indices, a date window at 3 o’clock, a smaller seconds dial at 9 o’clock, and a hand with a red tip to mark the time in another time zone. Subsequently, the mechanical watch is powered by the brand’s automatic winding movement, offering a three-day power reserve and water resistance up to 100 meters.

Finally, the Luminor Luna Rossa GMT is limited to 250 pieces and will be available at authorized dealers.
